maradolia

I've been working on the myspace for my soon to be (hopefully) band maradolia. I've knocked up some 3D models in maya that I've edited in photoshop.

Original maya render seen below

I wanted to text to kind of look scratched into the obelisk. The idea was taken from graffiti often seen in archaic tombs/architecture. Where normal people are as desperate to leave their mark as the ancients, although in a much more crude way. Without trying to sound too pretentious, this kind of resembles our music, as more often than not we resort tothe crude and gritty to get a point across.

The image below is the final(for now) photoshop version

I may still dick around with this a little and most definitely will continue to improve this kind of idea. I don't really want to go into it with too much detail interpret it how you like.

Hopefully will have the new track up soon, our drummer cinched and some sound art, which will really make this band come alive xD woot woot!!

Audio Scrap Book

Okay, so I've been speaking to a friend of mine about an ambient music collaboration. I'm a little late grabbing some audio files thanks to my home computer being a complete dick but I've managed to get hold of a bunch of scrap tracks that I've quickly sketched out. None of the audio clips are final, they are completely rough and the quality does vary, however for the kind of musical collage we're going to be creating they should be quite suiting.

I can't link them on here because blogger doesn't have the option, which is a bit shit, none the less, the links below should be suiting enough.

My Uploads named Audio Scrap Book"x" www.myspace.com/hithertonothing

The place where the final versions will eventually show up www.myspace.com/cheerupgothy
(Check out his music whilst your there, especially parenthesis which is a personal favorite)

Introduction

A friend recommended that I start a blog. Now that I've finished my degree and have a bit more spare time on my hands, I think I will.

Hopefully the blog will consist of lots of creative things I develop. Art, Music, Sound art and music visualization software and games.

I'll probably end up spilling my guts ranting about my personal problems, experiences and general bad luck.

I'm pretty sure someone will find the things I develop quite interesting - its all about innovation and pushing things forward for the sake of it and/or expressing myself.
